Coach Carter (Widescreen Edition)

by Paramount
OK, this is not really a Chick Flick, but it is a pretty great movie. It is about a man who's offered the job of coach for the inner city high school which he himself attended. He accepts, but requires that the team live up to certain standards. There was one player who thought he was all that and more so Coach Carter asked him a few times what his greatest fear was. Closer to the end of the movie he finally answered with the following quote, which I love and think everyone should take to heart, including myself.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn't serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." - Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of a Course In Miracles (New York: Harper Collins, 1992)

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (Soundtrack)

by Original Soundtrack
OK, I am sure that you all can tell that I Love everything about the Sisterhood of the Traveling pants. My favorite songs are number two Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield, number three Black Roses Red by Alana Grace, number seven No Sleep 2nite by the Faders and last but not least number eight I Want You To Know by Chantal Kreviazuk. I like the other songs but I would have to say that these are my favorite.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (Widescreen Edition)

by Warner Home Video
I personally would give this movie ten stars or chicks. I really enjoyed it the first time that I watched it and every time I have watched it since. I love the relationship that the girls share and how they help each other through hard times. There have been times in my own life where I have had friends like this and times that I haven't. I much prefer the times with.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (Sisterhood of Traveling Pants)

by Ann Brashares
I actually read this book after watching the movie and reading the second and third books in the trilogy. Great series! I'd recommend it for ages 14 and up, as long as they're girls. Definitely chick lit. I am anxiously awaiting book four and, hopefully, movie number two.
